The total number of military and civilian casualties in World War I was over 37 million. There were over 16 million deaths and 20 million wounded ranking it among the deadliest conflicts in human history. My Boy Jack is the story of Rudyard Kipling's son John Kipling (nicknamed jack) who
was killed in 1915 at the battle of Loos. John's body was never found, however this
has been debated with bodies that have been believed to be him but there has been no
definitive proof either way.
The video looks at jack's last days and the trauma that his family undergoes when he
is reported missing.
